Example Entry Boards from 08′

Here are some examples from last year if you are thinking about how to display your ideas!

Ok, here’s what you do.

By August 7th, which is THIS FRIDAY!  We’d really like to have all who are interested in participating Submit their “Intent to Enter Form” which is the third page of the pdf.  Either print it out and send it to us, or scan it and email it to us. Or open it in adobe and fill in your information and email it to us. Whatever works!

THEN.. by August 28th please submit an 11×17 board at 300 dpi that is your plan for your creation, however you wish to display that. Also by the 28th, please send your entry fee to the Design Center at Philadelphia University, address can be found on the Call for Entries page. We’re collecting a team of judges now and will be posting who they are soon!  Also, we’ll be posting up last years board submissions so you can get a feel for what has been done, but feel free to blow us out of the water with your awesome and creative ideas.  GET PUMPED 🙂

This Just In

The Piazza at Schmidt’s on 2nd St.  in northern liberties has just confirmed that they would love to hold the SP[ ]T competition there on October 10th.  This is a dream come true!!  GET READY!  And there will be room for displaying all of the accepted participant boards.  AND there will be time to have a reception,  so it will be a full day even this year.  GooOO TEAM!

Hello and Welcome!

This year a team of Philadelphia designers are working together to bring you an exciting event we call SP[ ]T!  – a chance for artists and designers alike to bring us what they believe  is a fun, creative way to use a parking space or to simply speak a few words about parking, transportation or philadelphia’s street culture in general. Really it’s all up to you!  Look at our Call for Entries page for more details on how to participate! and check out our Spot 2008 page to see some of the photos from last year’s SP[ ]T!
